My objective is to do something great. I love games and bringing an incredible, immersive experience to someone—whether they are my best friend or an absolute stranger—is a goal that really excites me. I believe in gaming as entertainment, as a skill development tool, and as an artform. And I have the ability to know which of those goals a game should strive to be.

I was the lead designer on the upcoming Wings of War: Famous Aces downloadable title where I wrote the design document and compiled asset needs. I worked with the project lead and tech director to build a manageable design model for the game within the budget and tech boundaries available to us. I also handled secondary design work for the downloadable title Talisman. During my time with the company, I wrote numerous pitches, menu system and tutorial documentation, and matched everything to the game specifications and TRC requirements of the target platforms.

Adventure Games Director/Writer/Community Liaison, Human Head Studios

As the Director of the Adventure Games Division, I handled all levels of project development, including concept pitches, fiction and game system writing, art direction, print buying and specification, promotion, and final publication for a variety of tabletop games.

I oversaw the Senior Artist who was the primary visual contributor and illustrator for the division. I also worked with the Electronic Games Division on cross-promotional and brand-broadening projects as well as any writing needs such as manual writing, marketing materials, and extensive dialog and script revisions on the AAA title Prey.

Following the closure of the Adventure Games Division, I became staff writer and community liaison for Human Head Studios. My experience with the company provided me with a solid overview of video and computer game production, concept and design documents as well as manual and script writing that was put into practice during later projects.

As the Editor-in-Chief of Key 20, it was my primary responsibility to originate and develop projects utilizing very limited resources. I worked on each project from the bottom up, arranging and negotiating with freelancers and printers as well as writing the bulk of the first three releases. I acquired a real-world education of the ins and outs of being a professional writer and publisher. Through my tenure as Key 20’s Editor-in-Chief, I gained valuable contacts with industry professionals in both the tabletop and computer games industries.
